Booking a Porter Escapes Vacation

How do I book a Porter Escapes vacation?

Porter Escapes reservations can be made online at www.porterescapes.com or over the phone with the assistance of a Porter Escapes Travel Planner by calling 1-855-372-1100. You can also inquire with your travel agent. All prices quoted and fares paid are in Canadian dollars.

How do I know that my reservation is confirmed?

Once the reservation is complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing details of your booking. The confirmation email is not valid for travel. Approximately 30 days prior to your departure, you will receive an email containing electronic documents (e-docs) that are required for travel. Learn more about e-docs. Link to E Docs FAQs

If I don't receive a confirmation e-mail, what should I do?

If your reservation was made online or directly with a Porter Escapes Travel Planner and you did not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of making your reservation, please contact us at 1-855-372-1100. If your reservation was made with a travel agent, please inquire with your agent directly.

Can I make last-minute bookings?

Provided there is availability for your preferred package and desired destination, online reservations can be made up to 48 hours prior to departure. Book even closer to departure with a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100.

How do I book reservations for seven or more nights?

You are able to book any duration of stay with the help of a Porter Escapes Travel Planner. Please call 1-855-372-1100 for further assistance, or inquire with a travel agent. Online bookings can only accommodate one through six night durations; anything greater please call Porter Escapes.

What are “Escape Extras?”

Escape Extras can include anything from ski lift tickets, to city passes. The selection of available Escape Extras depends on the destination you’ve selected for your Porter Escape. These additional selections can be added to your Porter Escape reservation at the time you make your reservation, or you may add extras after you’ve completed you booking over the phone with the assistance of a Porter Escapes Travel Planner by calling 1-855-372-1100. You can also inquire with your travel agent. Please note, Escape Extras are non-refundable.

How do I add ski lift tickets or ski equipment rentals to my Porter Escape?

How do I redeem my ski vouchers?

E-docs received 30 days prior to departure will outline what is included on your package and provide details on how to pick up your ski lift tickets. In some cases the tickets will be available for pick-up at your hotel check-in while others must obtained at the specified ski resort.

How do I add Golf reservations or golf equipment rentals to my Porter Escape?

Golf Getaway options will soon be available. For further information on the future availability Golf Getaway packages, please contact a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100.

How can I add a rental car to my Porter Escape?

Change or cancel a booking

If I need to change or cancel my reservation, what should I do?

Changes or cancellations can be made with a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100. If your reservation was made with a travel agent, please inquire with your agent directly. Cancellation and/or modification fees may apply. Online changes are not possible at this time.

If I need to change a name on my booking, what do I do?

Corrections to spelling or the addition of a middle name can be made. Complete name changes are treated as full cancellations and a new reservation is required. Pleases contact a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100 to make a change. If your reservation was made with a travel agent, please inquire with your agent directly. Change or cancellation fees may apply.

Can I add another traveller to my booking after it is confirmed?

Depending on availability, additional travellers may be added to existing bookings. Additional fees or rate changes may apply. Pleases contact a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100. If your reservation was made with a travel agent, please inquire with your agent directly.

Can I cancel my hotel accommodations but keep my flight reservation?

Cancelling hotel accommodations will result in the full cancellations of your Porter Escape package. Please contact a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100. If your reservation was made with a travel agent, please inquire with them directly. You may reconfirm your Porter Airlines flight reservation online at flyporter.com or with the assistance of a member of the Porter Airlines Call Centre team at 1-888-619-8622 at applicable rates.

Can I modify my booking while on my Escape?

Hotel Accommodations - Modifications to your hotel reservation or extended stays may be granted based on availability and may be subject to new rates. Fees or service charges may apply at the hotel’s discretion.

Flight - If altering your hotel reservation affects your return flight, please contact a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100. If your reservation was made with a travel agent, please inquire with them directly. Cancellation fees are applicable.

If the price of my reservation lowers after I’ve booked, or if another package provider offers a similar vacation at a lower price, will Porter Escapes match this price?

Promotional rates are not applicable to existing reservations; all packages are priced based on the time of booking and cannot be adjusted after booking. Porter Escapes will not price Match other suppliers or similar operators.

Porter Airlines - VIPorter frequent flyer program

What is VIPorter?

VIPorter is the Porter Airlines frequent flyer program. Every time you fly, you earn VIPorter Points based on your tier status and it’s free to join. https://www.flyporter.com/VIPorter/Register

Can I earn VIPorter points with my Porter Escapes purchases?

VIPorter points are only earned on the flight portion of your Porter Escapes package and VIPorter members can earn between 750 to 2,800 VIPorter points per traveller based on the type of package purchased.

How can I redeem my VIPorter points for my purchases with Porter Escapes?

We’re sorry but VIPorter points can only be redeemed for Porter flights.

What airlines does Porter Escapes work with?

Porter Escapes exclusively offers Porter Airlines flights.

What travel documents, or identification do I need for my trip?

Once the reservation is complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing details of your booking, including your flight itinerary. The confirmation email is not valid for travel. Approximately 30 days prior to your departure, you will receive an email containing electronic documents (e-docs) that are required for travel. Your boarding passes will be included in this package. How can I select a seat?

Please contact the Porter Airlines Call Centre team at 1-888-619-8622 to select a seat of your choice for $20 CAD/USD plus tax, per flight, per seat or select a Premium Seat for $40 CAD/USD plus tax, per flight, per seat. Seat selection fees are non-refundable.

If you do not reserve a seat, one may be assigned within 24 hours of scheduled departure. You can select your seat preferences (aisle or window, and area of the plane) through your VIPorter account. We will attempt to accommodate your preferences when automatically assigning seats.

For operational reasons, Porter reserves the right to change seats at any time.

What do I do if I have missed my flight?

If you have missed your flight, switching flights may be possible, depending on availability. A $300 fee, plus applicable taxes, applies each way, per passenger. If you are not yet at your departure airport, pleases contact a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100. If you have already arrived at your departure airport, please inquire with a Porter Airlines team member at the check-in desk.

Can I fly with my pet?

Porter is pleased allow your cat or small dog to travel with you in the aircraft cabin, in an airline-approved carrier, provided the carrier fits under the seat in front of you. For detailed information on travelling with your pet, please refer to Porter’s www.flyporter.com/Travel/Special-Service-Requests page.

Designated service animals for special needs passengers are always permitted onboard with proper documentation.

What happens if my pet request is not confirmed?

The Porter Escapes team will make every effort to accommodate your request. However, pet requests may not be confirmed if the flight you have selected has reached the maximum number of pets allowed on that particular flight, or if the hotel of your choice is unable to confirm a pet friendly room. If you expect to be travelling with your pet, please be sure to specify this request at the time of booking so the appropriate accommodations can be made.

Can I make a last-minute booking?

What documents must I have when I arrive at the hotel?

Approximately 30 days prior to your departure, you will receive an email containing electronic documents (e-docs) Link to E Docs FAQs that are required for travel. Included in this package is a hotel accommodation voucher to be presented to the Hotel upon check-in. Please be advised that you may also be required to present valid ID and a credit card upon check in.

Is it possible to have an under-age person check-in?

Many hotels have minimum age requirements for check-in and may request proof of age upon check-in. If they refuse check-in, the guest is responsible for any costs incurred. Please refer to your preferred hotel’s information page for information on check-in requirements.

Can I add a flight to my hotel reservation?

Flight and hotel reservations cannot be made separately. If you would like to add another passenger to your booking, please contact a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100, or speak with your local travel agent.

How can I cancel my hotel reservation but keep my flight booking?

Cancelling hotel accommodations will result in the full cancellations of your Porter Escape Package. If you wish to keep the flight component of your trip, please rebook directly with Porter Airlines.

Does Porter Escapes offer transfers between the airport and hotel?

If a shuttle service is available, the your preferred hotel will provide this information on their information page www.porterescapes.com. If you are unable to locate this information, please verify by contacting a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100.

I noticed an issue with my booking. What should I do?

Can I bring my pet with me?

How do I purchase Travel Insurance?

Porter Escapes provides the option of adding RBC travel insurance during the booking process, both online and with a Travel Planner.

How are insurance quotes calculated?

The insurance quotes are based on age, cost of trip, and trip duration.

When will I receive information about the insurance coverage I purchased?

RBC Insurance sends a separate confirmation email that contains the travel insurance policy number and all pertinent information regarding purchased travel insurance. Please contact RBC directly at 1-866-812-3931 if you do not receive a confirmation email.

How do I make changes to my insurance coverage?

Make changes or update your coverage directly with RBC at 1-866-812-3931.

I have purchased emergency medical coverage insurance through RBC Insurance. Who do I contact if I require emergency medical assistance on my trip?

If you require emergency medical assistance on your trip, please contact Assured Assistance, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call toll free from Canada and the USA at 1-800-387-2487, or for local or collect calls at 905-816-2561.

Who do I contact if I have a claim?

If you have purchased RBC Insurance and need to submit a claim, contact the Claims Centre.

RBC Insurance refunded me for my package claim. Will I still receive a credit from Porter?

If RBC Insurance refunds your claim, any credits given by Porter will be voided.

Why does my insurance purchase appear as a separate charge from my flight?

Purchased RBC Insurance will display on your credit card statement as a separate charge from your Porter Escapes package. If two credit cards are provided to pay for your trip, the first credit card provided will be charged for the Insurance package selections.

Can I use VIPorter points to purchase RBC Insurance?

VIPorter points are not redeemable towards RBC Insurance.

What are Porter Escapes hours of operation?

What methods of payment are accepted?

Porter Escapes vacations must be paid in full at the time of booking. All major credit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

I’m travelling with children, is there any specific information I should know?

Hotel Accommodation – Please inquire with your preferred hotel for specific information on what type of accommodations are made for those travelling with children.

Flights – Children under the age of 2 do not require the purchase of their own seat. If you have any questions about travelling with your children or wish to purchase a seat for your child under the age of 2 please contact a Porter Escapes Travel Planner at 1-855-372-1100.
